These two photographs were taken in Bakersfield CA after a cold late winter storm passed through just before sunset. These two images show the diversity of Bakersfield’s economy – oil production and agriculture. The Orange Grove RV Resort was once part of large orange grove and the grove still remains between RV sites where visitors can pick fresh oranges during a stop over at this transportation hub. In the second photo an oil derrick sits idle, surrounded by grape vines.
