Conditions have to just right with clear cool weather and of course all on a night with a full moon. Photography is as much about patience, being in the right place at the right time as having good equipment and solid technique.

This was a photo of Levi Leipheimer, the #1 Professional US Cyclist I took back in February for use in promoting the upcoming Amgen Tour of California Stage 1. The photo was taken during one of Levi’s training rides in Sonoma County, CA. I was given a 20 minute window to get a variety of shots and fortunately for me, Levi is a true professional making my job easier.
